A Proper Poland Pilgrimage
After my 2022 pilgrimage to Oberammergau that included a few nights in Poland, I knew I had to return. To truly appreciated the faith of the people, the history, and the amazing food, I just needed more time.
The priest from that pilgrimage, Father Peter Idler, and I began planning our next visit while still on the last trip.
With a strong devotion to Divine Mercy, Father Idler wanted to visit the place where it all began, Vilnius, Lithuania. So this is where our pilgrimage begins.
After two nights in Vilnius, we travel into Poland for two nights in Warsaw and visit the place where Saint Faustina entered the convent.
From Warsaw we will visit Niepokalanow where Saint Maximilian Kolbe founded his community. On our last trip, his chapel was an unexpected highlight for me. Later in the day we arrive in Czestochowa just in time for the Feast of the Black Madonna.
The next two nights we are in Zakopane for some nature and adventure, with rafting, mountain climbing, carriage rides, and a cookout. These activities should be relaxing, not strenuous.
We end with four nights in the lovely town of Krakow. We will visit Pope Saint John Paul II’s hometown, the Divine Mercy Shrine, a salt mine, Auschwitz, and so much more.
The dollar goes a long way in Poland, so all hotels but one are five stars. I am including 10 meals, 8 are in restaurants, 1 is at the lovely hotel in Czestochowa, and 1 is over a bonfire. As always, your drinks are included, as well as all your tips for local guides, drivers, and meals.
I expect people to be coming from all over, so flights are not included. This gives you the freedom to arrive early, if you want, or even extend your pilgrimage.
When looking for flights, we begin in Vilnius (VNO) and end in Krakow (KRK).
Here is the link with all the details, please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
