Holy Thursday and the Altars of Repose

My favorite part of Holy Week is visiting the Altars of Repose on Holy Thursday. Last year I took my Patrons on a live stream walk through Rome and we visited a bunch of churches. This year I am doing something similar, but it will be even more exciting since so many people are back in the city.

Speaking of people being back...

People are most definitely back in Italy. And it’s not just because of Easter and Spring Break. My guides, hotels, and drivers are booked almost nonstop through the summer. Rome went from a ghost town to peak summer crowds almost overnight. And that’s about to happen in the Holy Land too.

I have one more small group I’m taking before the crowds return. May 2-9. As usual, it’s mostly women traveling solo. If you can get away, it’s going to be an incredible pilgrimage. You can sign up here.

If Italy is more your thing, my Lenten pilgrimage just wrapped, and it was amazing. The group of nine people have traveled with me a combined total of 45 times! There were goats, rarely opened crypts, skeletons, a cooking class, multiple winery experiences, and time with my favorite local guides.
