I am so excited about this…
Israel has announced that beginning March 1st, anyone (vaccinated or unvaccinated) can enter the country with just a negative test.
As I did when Italy first reopened, I am organizing a pilgrimage to be one of the first groups in.
Over the last year Israel has attempted to reopen a few times. At one point they required people to be vaccinated and boosted, three PCR tests, a blood test on arrival, and a test every 48 - 72 hours.
But like much of Europe, they have decided to drop all of this and move to a testing-only requirement.
So I’m planning to bring a group on March 15th – that’s only three weeks away.
I know not everyone can get away for a week on such short notice, but I want to give people the opportunity to experience the Holy Land before it’s crazy crowded again.
A boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, a visit to Caesarea Philippi, Nazareth, Capernaum, the Mount of Beatitudes, Mount Tabor, the Jordan River, Bethlehem, the Holy Sepulcher, and so much more.
Also, the Holy Land during Lent?!? Amazing.
As with all The Catholic Traveler pilgrimages, this one includes daily Mass, my favorite local guide, excellent hotels, amazing meals in some of the best restaurants, wine with meals, and all your tips to local guides and our driver.
Tipsy Tuesday with a guest
Today is Tuesday, which means it’s Tipsy Tuesday, my weekly live show on Instagram. I very rarely have guests, but today I’m bringing on my Israeli guide to talk about the pilgrimage and what the last few years were like for him. So be sure to hop on Instagram today from 1 PM - 2 PM Eastern.
In past years, I’ve spent around 100 days a year leading pilgrimages through the Holy Land. My last group there was November 2019 and I cannot wait to get back!
Very exciting news Mountain. Wish I could make this trip but still planning on Rome in May. See you then!
Dang I will already be in Egypt March 10-20. Hit me up for the next Holy Land pilgrimage!
