Happy Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul!
Today is one of the biggest holy days in Rome, the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul.
We recorded a podcast all about today's feast day, which you can listen to here.
Unfortunately it's not being celebrated in the usual way this year, but you can check out this post to see how the Romans traditionally do this feast. Here's a teaser...
Wondering how The First Post-Pandemic Pilgrimage to Italy went?
It. Was. Amazing.
But don't take my word for it, check out Tipsy Tuesday with the group where each person talks about their personal experience.
I also did a write-up on the trip with tons of pics. And, being the first American group back in Italy, EWTN followed us around for a few days. Expect that to air later this week.
I'm offering a similar itinerary several times over the next eight months. Most of them have been selling out immediately, but keep checking here for more opportunities.
Italy continues to ease restrictions for visiting from the US and Canada
Now you can travel on any flight and on any airline – no longer restricted to the COVID-tested flights. To enter Italy you only need one negative test, or proof of vaccine, or proof of recent recovery. As always, reconfirm with your airline since requirements can change.
Crowds are getting bigger and bigger, and I think by next spring tourism will be back in full swing.
Storytime on Tipsy Tuesday
This week is the 16th anniversary of my very first group pilgrimage. On today's show, I will share some of the stories from that trip. I made lots of mistakes and there were several near disasters. It was great!
